Abstract
The present article aims at providing a comparative analysis of the Trade Secret Protection Act and the Employment Code of the Republic of Bulgaria with respect to the employee's liability for breach of confidentiality. It explores the opportunities and challenges the two legislative acts pose to the employers and supplies analysis whether the current legislation of the Republic of Bulgaria is adequate and transposes Directive 2016/943 in a proper manner.
